This course informs students about the major social problems affecting people and their communities in the field of human services. Students investigate and examine current social problems in a historical context, as well as current systems of social welfare in Canada and implications to Canadians. They will also analyze the nature of these issues and contribute to the development of healthy individuals and communities.
